Importing Broom Filament from China: MOQ, Lead Time and Shipping

Most of our customers are not first-time importers — but everyone was once. And the questions are always the same: How much do I have to order? How long does it take? What happens if the wire arrives bent or the color is wrong? This guide answers them straight, using our own numbers as the example.

Minimum order quantity: 1 ton per color

For standard specifications, MOQ starts at 1 ton per color. That is the honest floor set by extrusion economics — below a ton, line changeovers and color masterbatch handling dominate the cost. Custom colors follow the same logic: each color is its own production run, so a three-color broom line is three 1-ton runs. Smaller trial quantities are negotiable; ask, tell us your target, and we'll tell you what is possible.

Always start with samples — they're free

Before any money moves, we send free PET and PP samples worldwide. For custom work, you approve a color chip first. Sweep-test the wire, plant it if you have machines, show it to your retail buyers — then decide. A sample costs you a few days; a wrong container costs you a season.

Lead time: plan around sample approval

The clock starts after you approve the sample or color chip, not on the day of first contact. From approval, plan roughly three to four weeks for production of standard filament orders — our 300-ton monthly capacity means even multi-container programs fit within normal scheduling. For finished broom heads, count 20–30 days after sample approval, since planting and drying add their own steps. Add sea freight on top: typical transit is 25–40 days to Europe or the Americas.

How to get an accurate quote fast

We answer inquiries within 12 hours, but a quote is only as precise as the specification you send. Include these five things and the first number you get will be close to the final one:

• Material — PET, PP, or a mixed program.
• Diameter — a number in mm, or "match this sample."
• Color — Pantone number or physical sample.
• Cut length and bundle weight if you have a preference.
• Quantity — per color, and your target delivery window.
